The Amarante Sub-Region consists of a set of valleys dominated by the Douro and Tâmega rivers. The distance from the Atlantic Ocean and the fact that it is leaning against the Marão mountain range means that this sub-region has unique temperature and humidity conditions within the Vinho Verde Region. The soils are poor and almost exclusively of sandy granitic origin, which facilitates the drainage of rainwater. All these conditions make the grapes have an adequate and balanced maturation, giving rise to elegant, complex and mineral wines. TASTING NOTES Mineral aroma and ripe fruit notes (pear and white plum), with good complexity. Pleasant tasting with good volume. Gastronomic profile due to well-integrated acidity.
